John Greenleaf Whittier was an influential American Quaker poet and ardent advocate of the abolition of slavery in the United States. He is usually listed as one of the Fireside Poets. Whittier was strongly influenced by the Scottish poet, Robert Burns.
Condition: This book truly appears to be in beautiful vintage condition, with no major damages. There are some slight signs of wear and tear to the front and back covers but the pages and spine are well intact! The words and images are still printed clearly on the page making this reading experience quite enjoyable 📚
