Seagram's Benchmark Premium Bourbon Rare Clear Glass Pitcher
Seagram's Benchmark Premium Bourbon Rare Clear Glass Pitcher
This is the 'Seagram's Benchmark Premium Bourbon' clear glass pitcher. It has a widemouth pouring top with a gentle ice lip. The Seagram's advertising logo only appears on one side of the pitcher.
This particular Seagram's pouring pitcher is rare, and also has an interesting three-dimensional emblem. From what I can make of it, it appears to be three horses perched upward with a small circle amidst them that reads, "1875". That would be the year that Seagram's had been founded. Below all of that, it reads, 'CRAFTSMANSHIP'.
These pitchers were actually manufactured for promotional purposes, and were given to bar and tavern owners by company representatives. Rather their method be to sell someone/business owner one or more of their products, they chose a very intelligent route: free promotional merchandise.
They were not used to drink liquor from them but really used as a water pitcher so the customer could add a bit of water to their distilled beverage.
They are no longer made and a very high and popular collectible for Liquor, or mugs/jugs, ceramic collectors.
The measurements are as follows:
Height: 6 1/2"
Width (pouring mouth): 5"
