A very fine pair of late nineteenth century opera glasses made from Mother of Pearl and the original gilded brass; made by the creme de la creme of makers, LeMaire of Paris. The original case is lined in a vibrant purple silk, gold printed for a Swiss retailer in Zurich. Fine quality and condition, dating to c.1890. The case measuring 4 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 3" tall.
